Pavillion House

Pavillion House, located just outside historic Millthorpe in NSW, is a new contemporary homestead. The house is divided into 2 linear gabled forms clad in Shou Sugi Ban timber, flanked by verandas that sit under the same roof that blur inside and outside.

The house is set in a sunken sandstone walled courtyard and smaller courtyards are introduced into the linear forms to provide an incredibly intimate connection with landscape and to provide sheltered living spaces on what is a very exposed site.
