Sale House

An extension to an Art Deco house in central Orange NSW, seeks to provide new living spaces that encapsulates much needed northern light and a connection to outside. The extension was modest in size with a small casual living space and new master bedroom with the remainder of the renewal of the kitchen and dining space within the existing footprint of the house. The new extension places the kitchen area has a hinge point between dining and new casual living area, whilst still embracing the clients desire to maintain a traditional form. The form is set back to the south side of the existing house and allows a simple outdoor space on the north and be completely private from the street.

A simple curved wall was implemented in the planning of the master bedroom and study area which is a reflection of the heritage of the house and the front facade.

The facade is traditionally rendered with highlights of original face brick sills and ornate details to the front pillars.
