SUMMER HOUSE

The Summer House in Orange, NSW is a sympathetic contemporary extension to a turn of the century home. The existing house is completely retained and upgraded with new bathroom facilities and a new open plan living spaces including kitchen constructed where unsympathetic lean-to extensions had been added in the past.

The raked and sculpted ceiling aids in the entry of natural light and exposed brickwork and timber work hark back to the original house. The new space opens directly to the rear yard – providing a direct connection to the landscaped gardens which was previously lacking.
