OXLEY HOUSE

On one of only a handful of waterfront sites in Glebe, this heritage listed house is prominent and well known.

Source Architects were engaged to design additions to the existing house including new contemporary living spaces, new garaging and a new pool along with a series on sensitive intervention in the existing house to provide new bathrooms.

The proposal is a for a new low contemporary form at the basement level that opens out to the garden with an indoor pool buried under a new level lawn area facing the harbour. The interventions were designed to minimise the impact on the existing house and to maintain views of the house.
